I named him 'Buddha' I have a 10 gallon and 40 gallon terrariums. 10 gallon = Feeding enclosure 40 gallon = his home (yes, this beautiful creature is a male) have 3 hides inside the enclosure. One heating pad with a auto regulator (thermostat) on one side and a hide just above it ( I used Paper towel as a protection from the heat), second hide on the other corner and the third hide somewhere in between (near the water container). I initially used some cheap bedding from pet co and didn't knew it has pine shavings in it and still has same bedding :( didn't want to change immediately. As he had his first meal now, I will be changing it to cypress mulch which I have already bought for 10 $). Need suggestions here: its a 40 gallon tank and I am planning to use cypress mulch, this 10$ bag will just be enough for one go. If I chan! ge the bedding every week. Its like 40$ per month. Please suggest some inexpensive and non-toxic bedding. Newspaper kinda looks unrealistic ;) As of now, I handle him once a day for 15 minutes and I know to not touch him for 48 hrs after he being fed.
